When GB News journalist Caroline Malone falsely claimed that Meghan Markle's mother, Doria Ragland, had been incarcerated—suggesting this is why Thomas Markle raised Meghan—she didn't just spread misinformation. She defamed a private citizen with a Master's degree in Social Work who proudly raised her daughter and has never been in prison. Within days, GB News issued an apology.

Team Sussex confirms the apology wasn't voluntary—it was issued "only to escape a defamation lawsuit." And within 24 hours, GB News deleted it entirely. This isn't just about one lie. It's about a media ecosystem that punishes women—especially Black women—who won't comply or shrink. Doria Ragland never sought the spotlight, but she's been subjected to racist stereotypes and false criminal accusations simply because she's Meghan's mother.

Lies like these don't happen in a vacuum. They're designed to undermine Meghan's foundation, distort her story, and silence her voice. But we're watching! We're documenting. And we're not letting them rewrite history.
